Decide now, so they don't have to.

A will says who gets your house, your savings and your car, and who you'd trust to look after your children. With one, the people you love know exactly what you wanted. Writing one is simpler than most people think, and we arrange it with Rockwills or Createwills.

  • What your will takes care of.

Your wishes, in writing, so your family isn't left guessing.

  • Your home

Who gets your house or land, decided by you instead of left for others to work out.

  • Your money

Bank accounts, unit trusts, shares and your car, each going where you've chosen.

  • Your children

The person you'd trust to look after them if you're not there.

  • Your executor

Someone you trust to carry out your wishes and handle the paperwork.

A nominee isn't the same as a will.

Say your life policy names your spouse as nominee for RM500,000. That helps. But your home, your car, your bank accounts and who looks after your children still need a will.

Your EPF savings go to your EPF nominee too, but every nomination covers only that one policy or account, which is why most families need a will as well and keep both up to date.

How a nominee receives the money can also depend on your religion and the type of policy. We'll check yours with you in the review.

What writing a will looks like.

Simpler than most people expect. Here's the whole thing.

Talk it through

A free 30-minute review, in Bahasa Malaysia or English. We go over your family, what you own and what you'd want to happen. Nothing to sign on the day.

Meet the will writer

We arrange it with Rockwills or Createwills. Their will writer takes your instructions and explains the options that apply to you.

Check the draft

The provider prepares your will. Read every line and change anything that isn't right.

Sign it properly

You sign with witnesses present, following the provider's instructions, and then keep it somewhere safe and tell your executor exactly where to find it.

Keep it current

Look at it again whenever life changes, like a new baby, a new home or a new business.

Different families, different rules.

Muslim and non-Muslim families follow different rules for wills in Malaysia. You don't need to know them all.

Your Rockwills or Createwills will writer prepares your will and explains what applies to you.

Bring your questions to the review. We'll set up the right conversation from there.

When to look at your will again.

A will is written for the life you have today. Check it again when:

  • You get married.
  • A child or grandchild is born.
  • You buy a house, land or another big asset.
  • You start, join or sell a business.
  • Someone named in your will passes away.
  • Your executor or guardian can no longer take on the role.

Your questions, answered.

I'm young and don't own much. Do I need a will?

Say you're 28, with a car, some savings and a policy from work. That's already worth planning for. Start with a simple will and update it as life moves on.

Who actually writes my will?

A will writer from Rockwills or Createwills prepares it with you. We set up the meeting, help you get your list ready and stay with you through it.

Can I just use a template from the internet?

You can, but it's easy to slip up on the details, like who's allowed to witness it or wording that can be read two ways. A will-writing provider checks those for you.

How much does it cost?

The fee is set by Rockwills or Createwills and depends on what you need. You'll know the price before anything starts.
