Protect the life you're building.

Your salary pays for more than this month's bills. It's the house loan, the school fees, the money you send home to your parents. We'll help you protect all of it through FWD Insurance and FWD Takaful, starting with the cover you already have at work.

  • What we can help you cover.

Each one does a different job. Here's which is which.

  • Life cover

A lump sum for your family if you pass away, so the house loan and the school fees don't fall on them.

  • Medical cover

Helps pay eligible hospital and treatment bills, so a week in a ward doesn't empty your savings.

  • Critical illness

A lump sum if you're diagnosed with a covered illness that meets the policy's definition, so the household keeps running while you get well.

  • Family income

Cover sized to replace your income for as long as your family would need it. A child who is 5 today might rely on you for another 15 years or more.

  • For business owners

Running a company? We'll also look at your key people and your staff's benefits.

Insurance or takaful, you choose.

FWD Insurance offers conventional plans. FWD Takaful offers takaful plans built on Syariah principles, where participants contribute to a shared fund that helps whoever needs to claim.

Takaful is open to everyone, Muslim or not. We'll put both side by side and explain how each one works. Then you pick what sits right with you.

First, what you already have.

Many people already have group cover through work, or a policy bought years ago and never looked at since. We start there, so you don't pay twice for the same thing.

Group cover helps, but it's usually tied to your job and sized the same for everyone. We'll check what it pays, what it leaves out and what happens if you change jobs.

Bring your policies or your company's benefits summary to the review, and we'll read them with you.

Put a rough number on it.

Say your family would need RM5,000 a month for 10 years, until your youngest turns 18. That's RM600,000 before you count your savings or existing cover. Try your own figures below. Nothing you type leaves this page.

Your figures

Illustrative defaults. The starting figures are an example to change, not a recommended amount.

What your household would need each month if this income stopped.

How long your family might need support while they adjust.

Debts or one-off costs, such as a remaining home loan. Do not repeat spending already in the monthly amount.

Only savings and assets realistically available for this purpose.

Cover you already hold. Check its benefit definitions and availability in your policy documents.

Your figures stay on this page. Nothing is saved or sent.

Your scenario

Assumes RM5,000 a month for 10 years plus RM200,000 in obligations, with no inflation, investment return or tax.

Indicative gap
RM400,000
Simplified need
RM800,000
Assets and existing cover included
RM400,000

A simple starting point. In your review we’ll add inflation, your existing cover and the right amount for your family.

How this is calculated

Simplified need = monthly amount × 12 × years + additional obligations.

Indicative gap = simplified need − available assets − existing cover. It never goes below zero: if assets and cover already meet the need, the gap is RM0.

Additional obligations still count when the monthly amount is RM0. They should not repeat spending already included in the monthly amount.

A simple estimate to start a conversation. Bring your numbers to a free review and we’ll build the full picture with you.

Would you like help understanding what this estimate leaves out?

Your figures are not sent with this link. Share only what you choose in the enquiry form.

What happens, step by step.

Here's the whole process, so you know what to expect at every step.

Talk

A free 30-minute review. Who depends on you, what you earn, the cover you already have and what you can comfortably pay each month.

Compare

Plans from FWD Insurance or FWD Takaful that fit, explained in plain Bahasa Malaysia or English. What each one covers, what it excludes, any waiting periods.

Apply

You answer the health and lifestyle questions, and we'll help you get them complete and accurate. FWD then reviews your application, and may ask for a medical check-up first.

Stay covered

If you ever need to claim, we'll help with the forms and stay with you through it. And we'll sit down with you to review your cover at least once a year, or sooner when life changes.

Questions worth asking.

Is takaful better than insurance?

Neither is better for everyone. They work on different principles, and FWD offers both. We'll compare similar plans side by side so you can choose.

How much cover do I need?

It depends on who relies on you and for how long. The calculator above gives you a rough number, and in your review we'll fine-tune it around your budget and the cover you already have.

Can I talk to you without buying anything?

Yes. The review is free, and you won't be asked to sign anything on the day. Take the documents home, WhatsApp us on +60 11-1111 1692 with any question and decide in your own time.

If I have insurance, do I still need a will?

Most families need both. Your policy pays out to your nominee. A will covers everything else, from the house to who looks after your children, and we arrange it with Rockwills or Createwills.

What happens when I need to claim?

WhatsApp us on +60 11-1111 1692. We'll explain the process, help you get the paperwork right first time and stay with you through the claim.

Cover depends on the policy terms and FWD's acceptance.

What would you like to look after?
